Statements by Prime Minister Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă at the Blood Transfusion Center of the “Dr. Carol Davila” Central Military Emergency University Hospital, Bucharest

[Check against delivery]

Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă: Good afternoon. We took a series of measures at the government level and we continue to examine all possibilities so that, institutionally, we will do everything in our power to support the people of Ukraine so severely affected by the Russian aggression.
I also very much appreciate and thank the civil society for their mobilization so that together, we can support the Ukrainian citizens in times of great need.
Along with a part of the Cabinet members, I donated blood today at Military Emergency Hospital in Bucharest, deeming it necessary to show, through personal example that we stand with those who need blood. Currently, there is a great need for it, also taking into account the fact that, as we announced this morning, at the level of the Ministry of Health, we decided to offer the possibility for the wounded from Ukraine to be treated in Romanian hospitals. And surely, depending on the Ukrainian party's request, we may help them with blood donation as well. Thank you.
