Bureau of Land Management Eastern States issues notice for oil and gas lease sale

FALLS CHURCH, VA. - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Eastern States Office has selected the No Action Alternative, as analyzed in the posted Environmental Assessment (DOI-BLM-Eastern States-J000-2021-0037-EA) evaluating one parcel totaling approximately 80 acres of federal oil and gas leases. The parcel is located in Covington County, Alabama.

With its decision to select the No Action Alternative, no Sale Notice will be issued, and no lease sale will be held in the second quarter of 2022.
