A Heartfelt Community Clean-Up

Spring is usually the time for a thorough clean-up, but for some, it's not just about dusting off the shelves. Recognizing the deeper needs of our community, Tampa Electric team members rolled up their sleeves alongside community partners to bring about positive change in Central Tampa.

Led by Heather Santana, Weatherization Program Manager, our dedicated employee volunteers donned their vibrant blue TECO shirts to partner with the East Tampa Citizens Advisory Committee and other community organizations. Together, they embarked on a mission to improve the living conditions for customers in need.

The day was filled with meaningful team-building activities, culminating in the removal of debris, old furniture and various unwanted items. Program Manager April Allen shared, "To be able to assist people within the community was a mind-blowing experience; to take the small amount of time to give back while having a positive impact on a person's life is just a great feeling."

Our volunteer efforts go beyond a single day of action. They reflect Tampa Electric's ongoing commitment to enhancing the well-being of our community through active engagement and support.
