The City of Lewiston's Public Works Department is excited to see you at the Public Works Expo on Thursday, May 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds!

The Public Works Expo is a day in observance of National Public Works Week (NPWW) which intends to increase awareness of the responsibilities of Public Works and provide an opportunity for everyone to experience various fun activities related to what Public Works is all about! Here are some activities you can expect at the 2024 Public Works Expo: "River to River" Water - The Cycle of Use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) "Only Rain Down the Drain" Stormwater Demonstration Don't Remove The Traffic Sign! And Why! Wastewater Jet Cleaning Demonstration All this and so much more! While the Expo's activities are geared towards kindergarten through third-grade students, all are welcome! Large groups are encouraged to RSVP with their estimated group size and when they plan to arrive.

The Expo traditionally includes a couple of activity booths on the paved areas of the Fairgrounds. Still, the majority of the activity booths are in the grassy areas which could prove difficult for mobility aids or assistive devices to traverse. A map showing the event's boundary, visitor parking, and entrance at the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds is shown below:
