PATA Bangladesh Dhaka University Student Chapter presents “Career Walks: Road to the Hospitality Industry”

DHAKA, February 7, 2019 - PATA Bangladesh Dhaka University Student Chapter is a student run organization and an international platform for University of Dhaka students who are majoring in the Tourism and Hospitality Management. PATA BD DU Student Chapter has been engaging enthusiastic youths since 2014. The Student Chapter's 2019 executive committee has organized their very first event this year which is a career familiarization seminar named 'Career Walks: Road to the Hospitality Industry'.

The program was held on 7th February 2019 in the conference hall of Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka at 3.30 pm-5.30 pm. The chief guest of the seminar was the Honourable Chairman of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management - Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka Dr. M. Badruzzaman Bhuiyan and Guest of Honor was the Director of Human Resource and Training for Hotel Intercontinental Dhaka Ms. Sayeeka Huq. Other Special guests were A.K.M Asadur Rahman, Manager - Digital Marketing & Sales, Royal Tulip Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa and Md. Rakib Al Hasan, Sr. Catering Sales Executive, Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort.

Newly admitted fresh faces were basically the target audience of the seminar. The Student Chapter created a platform for them where they can listen to the real life experiences directly from the Tourism and Hospitality Industry industry professionals. The audiences also participated in a short quiz where the top 3 rank holders were awarded. The New Executive committee was announced during the closing of the program, followed by an outstanding recognition awards for high performers from the last executive committee.

PATA BD DU student chapter organizes a Career Familiarization session with new faces from the very beginning of its journey but this year the session was more cherish able and interactive.
