Gauteng departments appear before SCOPA to report on implementation of legislature resolutions, 12 May

Gauteng Provincial Departments are scheduled to appear before the Legislature's Standing Committee of Public Accounts (SCOPA), to report on progress made in the implementation of Gauteng Legislature's Resolutions on financial performance for the year ended 31st March 2021.

Led by Honourable Chairperson Sochayile Khanyile; SCOPA will convene public hearings to afford the Departments' Executives an opportunity to present on work that has been done as well as activities planned to ensure all resolutions issued by the Legislature are implemented. SCOPA's assessment will focus on each individual Department, where the Standing Committee will interrogate the reports and make recommendations thereof. The public hearings form part of the Standing Committee's efforts in delivering on its oversight mandate, thus contributing towards improved and accelerated service delivery in the province.

The first Public Hearing will take place with the Gauteng Department of Health as follows:
