PUBLIC ACCESS PLAN FOR US v. BOONE et al., 4:18 CR 975 ERW

Due to considerable public interest and the need to enforce social distancing, there will be public seating for the above case both in the main courtroom (Courtroom 3N) as well as a dedicated overflow courtroom (Courtroom 16N). Seating will be available for approximately 30 members of the public in both courtrooms, including six seats dedicated for the media in both courtrooms. For jury selection, public seating will only be available in the overflow courtroom.

The overflow courtroom will have a four-camera, closed-circuit remote video feed that will be operational at all times. The system will be able to display the judge, attorneys, witnesses, and evidence in real time. The evidence will be available in real time only and will not be otherwise publicly distributed. Both the audio and video feeds will remain on at all times that court is in session, other than when the judge announces the need for a sidebar and authorizes suspension of the audio feed. No photos, and no recording or broadcasting of any audio or video, are allowed from either courtroom, but persons in the overflow courtroom may otherwise use electronic devices. No use of such devices is permitted in the main courtroom.

Before each session of court commences, court staff will confirm the closed circuit remote video system is operational. If at any point any member of the public experiences issues with the feed, please contact [email protected] or 314-244-7800 immediately.

Points of contact for all public access questions related to this case should be directed to Greg Linhares, Clerk of Court, at 314-810-2251, or to Lori Miller-Young, Chief Deputy Clerk, at 314-220-5809, or sent via e-mail to [email protected]. All inquiries should include your full name and any media affiliation, if any. Please note that court personnel are unable to comment on the substance of any pending litigation, but may provide publicly available information concerning scheduling or procedure.
