Shepherd, Owls Receive Lindy’s Preseason Accolades

KENNESAW, Ga. - Quarterback and the Kennesaw State football program received preseason recognition from Lindy's Sports ahead of the team's first season in the ASUN Conference.
The outlet named Shepherd FCS Preseason Most Valuable Player, ASUN Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and the All-FCS Preseason first team quarterback.
In the preseason top 25, the reigning Big South Conference champions placed seventh, leading all 2022 postseason-eligible teams in the ASUN-WAC challenge. KSU was picked to finish first in the ASUN this season.
KSU enters the 2022 campaign coming off an 11-2 season headlined by a third Big South Conference title and the program's fourth appearance in the FCS Playoffs.
The 2022 season brings the most challenging schedule in KSU football's eight-year history. The team is set for six games inside Fifth Third Bank Stadium and features tough road matchups at 2021 College Football Playoff participant, Cincinnati and 2021 FCS Playoff participant, UT-Martin.
