RCMP arrest WANTED male after armed and barricaded incident

On September 10, 2022, as part of on ongoing investigation into a male WANTED on a Canada wide warrant, the West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team, along with Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP, attended a residence on Ebb and Flow First Nation.

A vehicle located at the residence was found to be stolen. Officers obtained a search warrant and as they approached the residence a male barricaded himself inside the home. It was determined that a female and two children were also inside the home.

The Emergency Response Team responded and after several hours the male was safely taken into custody.

The female and two children were not physically injured.

Lewis Jordan Starr, 39, from Sandy Bay First Nation remains in custody for the warrant at this time and will be facing further charges in relation to the armed and barricaded incident.

Investigation ongoing.
