Stark County: Construction update
Week of April 22, 2024
Stark County (Thursday, April 18, 2024) -The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Stark County next week. All scheduled work is weather permitting.
Interstate 77 Slide Repair, Pike Township
I-77 southbound just south of Fohl St. is reduced to two 10-foot lanes for a slide repair. Estimated completion, early August 2024.
US 30 resurfacing, City of Canton and Canton Township
NEW IMPACTS - The following lane restrictions and ramp closures are scheduled to occur on Friday, April 19 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Only one ramp will be closed at a time. Maximum closure duration at each ramp will not be more than two hours.
- US 30 eastbound between Cherry Ave. and Trump Ave. will have various lane restrictions.
- The ramp from SR 43 north to US 30 east will be closed. The detour will be SR 43 north to US 30 west to 11th St. west to Cherry Ave. south to US 30 east.
- The ramp from US 30 east to 43 north will be closed. The detour will be US 30 east to Trump Ave. north to US 30 west to SR 43 north.
- The ramp from US 30 east to SR 43 south will be closed. The detour will be US 30 east to Trump Ave. north to US 30 west to SR 43 south
Estimated completion, late April 2024.
US 62 and State Route 93 resurfacing, Sugarcreek & Tuscarawas Townships & Village of Wilmot
SR 93 between SR 172 and SR 241 has various lane restrictions for culvert rehabilitation work. Estimated completion, early August 2024.
State Route 225 slide repair, Lexington Township
NEW IMPACT- Beginning Monday, April 29, SR 225 between Greenbower St. and Price St. will be closed through late May for a slide repair. The detour will be SR 183
US 62 and State Route 93 resurfacing, Sugarcreek & Tuscarawas Townships & Village of Wilmot
CONTINUING IMPACT - SR 93 between SR 172 and SR 241 has various lane restrictions for culvert rehabilitation work.
Estimated completion, early August 2024.
State Route 225 slide repair, Lexington Township
NEW IMPACT - Beginning Monday, April 22, SR 225 between Greenbower St. and Price St. will be closed through late May for a slide repair. The detour will be SR 183 to US 224 to ST 225.
State Route 241 widening, Massillon
SR 241 between Pebble Chase Circle and Hills and Dales Rd. is reduced to one lane daily and maintained by flaggers for roadway improvements and storm sewer installation. Estimated completion, late summer 2024.
