In 2021, Rosseti to Invest over 1.5 Billion Rubles to the Integrated Power Grid of the Chechen Republic

Ensuring reliable operation and development of the integrated power grid of the Chechen Republic was discussed in Moscow at a working meeting between Andrey Ryumin, Director General of PJSC Rosseti, Adam Delimkhanov, State Duma Deputy of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and Head of the Operation Headquarters for the Development of the Electric Power Industry of the Chechen Republic, and Rustam Shaptukaev, Minister of Industry and Energy of the Region.

By 2024, as part of the program to reduce energy losses in the electrical networks of Chechenenergo JSC, it is planned to install about 200,000 smart meters, reconstruct 1,800 km of 10-0.4 kV power transmission lines, and modernize 435 transformer substations.

The meeting agenda also included the parameters of the implementation of the program for the power grid modernization and reliability improvement in the Republic and the situation with payments on the wholesale electricity and capacity market.

'In the integrated power grid complex of the Chechen Republic, measures for the development and modernization of power facilities are being implemented, covering the largest regions. Prospective recreational areas will be provided with the necessary infrastructure in accordance with the tasks of the national project for the development of tourism in our country. In general, the approved amount of investments of companies under the control of PJSC Rosseti in the region exceeds 1.5 billion rubles in 2021', said Andrey Ryumin, Director General of PJSC Rosseti.
