Petr Pala: one captain, six trophies

Czech Republic captain Petr Pala has overseen a glorious period in his nation's Billie Jean King Cup history with the Czechs claiming six titles in the women's world cup of tennis since 2011.

When the 46-year-old was appointed captain in 2008, very few could have envisaged the level of Czech dominance that was about to unfold, or that he would still be in position more than a decade later.

During this time, Pala has worked with an illustrious list of players who have all contributed to their nation's success, while the strength and vibrancy of Czech Republic tennis has been highlighted time and time again.
