The City of Boise is taking the first step in the recruitment process for Chief of Police. Public Sector Search & Consulting, Inc., a national leader in police executive recruitment, has been chosen to lead the search for a new police chief. Justin Doll, who served as Chief of Police in Anchorage, Alaska, will serve as the project director. The firm focuses exclusively on police executive searches and shares Boise's commitment to transparency and inclusiveness, starting their searches with stakeholder and community outreach to find candidates who are the best match for the community. Boise residents will have an opportunity to provide direct input to the search process, with additional details to be released in the coming weeks. In addition, once finalized, a timeline that includes the various phases of the project will be shared with the public.
"I am excited to work with this firm. I was particularly impressed with their approach to community engagement and transparency in the process. They are also planning to engage our officers in new ways to ensure Boise is set up to get the Chief the department and the community deserve."
