Update On Water Line Repairs on North Padre Island

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - On Tuesday, May 7, a private sector contractor working in the Commodores Bridge area of North Padre Island struck a Corpus Christi Water bypass water line, causing a water line break and reducing pressure on certain portions of the Island. Some customers may have experienced lower-than-normal water pressure. Repairs were completed by the end of the day.

The private developer responsible for damaging the twelve-inch diameter water line made the necessary repairs. City crews will implement flushing and sampling activities over the next week to ensure water quality parameters continue to meet all state and federal standards.
