In the Nagorno-Karabakh city of Stepanakert, logistics specialists have completed the construction of a block-modular camp for a special purpose medical unit.

The complete set of the town includes one hundred and seventy-two modules, including residential and administrative, sanitary-epidemiological and hospital departments, an operating unit, outpatient clinics and isolation wards. Also, the block-modular town allows to provide comfortable accommodation for medical personnel.

The modules are equipped with modern medical equipment to provide qualified assistance to the servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

The modern equipment of the hospital helps highly qualified doctors to quickly and accurately detect diseases in patients.

The new department of surgery and Traumatology allows to perform tasks of the same complexity as in an inpatient hospital.

Under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Dmitry Bulgakov, and with the direct participation of the material and technical support bodies of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, in order to create comfortable, modern living conditions for Russian servicemen in the shortest possible time, 30 block-modular towns for 250, 60, 40, 30 and 15 people were built.

Thus, the construction of a block-and-module camp of the special purpose medical unit made it possible to fully complete the arrangement of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh.

About 600 specialists and 65 pieces of equipment were involved in the construction sites in Nagorno-Karabakh. The delivery of block-modular structures and their components to the region was mainly carried out by rail. Materials from local manufacturers were actively used in the construction of the towns. This made it possible to reduce the work time and simplify the logistics schemes. A huge amount of construction work has been carried out, such as site preparation, installation of external engineering networks, installation of block-modular structures, connection of technological equipment, and commissioning.

The delivery package of each block-modular town includes a gym with artificial turf, a sauna, a medical center, and a kitchen. For personnel, rooms for drying and cleaning uniforms, a leisure room, an office, a storeroom, a canteen, a food warehouse, sanitary modules, and engineering equipment are equipped.

Block-modular towns are fully autonomous objects that are equipped with all the necessary components of life support systems and are equipped with all the necessary furniture, as well as household appliances.

In addition, such block-modular towns can be used both in regions with low temperatures and in countries with hot climates. Block-modular townships were manufactured by specialized industrial enterprises in accordance with state standards and technical conditions, meet all established standards and requirements for a comfortable stay of servicemen in the immediate place of deployment of troops.
