CDCR Arrests Correctional Sergeant Found with Contraband Inside Prison

COALINGA - On April 29, 2024, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) arrested Pleasant Valley State Prison (PVSP) Correctional Sargeant Greg Reinaldo Clark inside the secure perimeter of the prison. Clark, 51, was found to be in possession of fentanyl, among other narcotics. Clark has resigned.

"Clark's selfish acts put himself, PVSP staff and the incarcerated population in danger," PVSP Warden Steve Smith said. "That is one of the most detestable acts one can commit in a peace officer position. A huge thank you to the investigative team for their hard work and dedication on this case."

"The department firmly condemns any staff member, including peace officers, who violate their oath and betray the public's trust," CDCR Secretary Jeff Macomber said. "We are committed to investigating and rooting out any employee who does not obey the law and betrays the public or CDCR staff."

Clark began his career with CDCR as a cadet at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center on July 9, 2001. He reported to PVSP as a Correctional Officer on December 15, 2003. On October 14, 2013, Clark promoted to Correctional Sergeant.
