CNB expands schedule of issuance for 2021–2025

The CNB's schedule of banknote and coin issuance for 2021-2025 is to be expanded to include two new commemorative silver coins. The Bank Board has newly included CZK 200 commemorative silver coins to mark the birth anniversaries of Jan Blahoslav and Bedřich Smetana.

In 2023 the schedule of issuance will be complemented with a CZK 200 silver coin marking 500 years since the birth of Unity of the Brethren bishop, linguist, humanist and teacher Jan Blahoslav.

2024 will see the 200th anniversary of the birth of Czech composer Bedřich Smetana. A coin featuring motifs inspired by his music and life has also been added to the current schedule of issuance for commemorative banknotes and coins.
