Russian special forces became champions in army hand-to-hand combat at Polar Star international competition

Today, the participants of Polar Star international competition at the Brestsky training ground in the Republic of Belarus, within the framework of the final stage of the competition among the special forces of nine countries, held a competition in army hand-to-hand combat.

In grueling fights, which became the final exercise of the final stage of the international competition Polar Star, the Russian team took first place.

Polar Star international competition among special-purpose units is held on the territory of the Republic of Belarus on the basis of the Brestsky training ground from August 22 to September 4 as part of the VII International Army Games. It is attended by teams of the armed forces of nine states: Russia, Belarus, Venezuela, India, Iran, China, Morocco, Pakistan, Uzbekistan.

The Russian team at international competitions is represented by the winners of the all-army stage of Polar Star-2021 competition - the best reconnaissanse officers of the special forces of the Airborne Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In addition, the Rosgvardia team will take part in the competition on an out-of-competition basis.

International Army Games will be held from August 22 to September 4 on the territory of 11 states (Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan).

In total, more than 5 thousand military personnel, consisting of 277 teams from 42 countries, take part in 34 competitions of the Games 2021.
