The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a possible hazardous material located within the Cassandra Greenbelt.
On Saturday, July 20, 2019, at 2 a.m. police responded to a call for several deceased wild animals located within the Cassandra Greenbelt: 54A Casandra Boulevard.
As a result of investigation police believe that an undetermined poison may have been left within the park area and has the potential to harm children and small animals. The delivery method for the harmful substance is believed to have been peanut butter.
If you frequent the park and your child or animal exhibits any unusual symptoms you are encouraged to seek medical attention.
Police are seeking the public's help in identifying any person or persons responsible for the dispersal of this harmful substance.
