Main Line Chamber Hosts Red Carpet Dinner, Featuring Keynote Address by New Penn State President

Nearly 200 business leaders attended the Red Carpet Dinner hosted by the Main Line Chamber of Commerce last night. Dr. Neeli Bendapudi, the new president of Penn State University and the first woman and first person of color to lead the institution delivered keynote remarks rooted in her inspiring journey. The event also marked a key centennial celebration for the Chamber, which has been serving businesses and the community in Chester, Montgomery and Delaware Counties since its inception in 1921.

The Red Carpet Dinner is one of Greater Philadelphia's most prominent events, providing an opportunity for business leaders to connect with employees, clients and other leaders over live entertainment and fine dining. This year, the event was held at The Drexelbrook in Drexel Hill, PA.

The Chairman's Award was presented to Debbie McCabe, Regional Vice President, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, and Vice Chair of The Main Line Chamber Board of Directors. This award recognizes a member of the Chamber Board who goes above and beyond to serve members, strengthens the organization to ensure its long-term sustainability and provides an example to volunteer board directors everywhere.

The evening also included remarks by the leaders of the three major sponsors of the event: M&T Bank, My Benefit Advisor, LLC and Penn State Brandywine.

"It's great to see the energy and enthusiasm when leaders meet and share ideas and resources," said Bernard Dagenais, President and CEO of The Main Line Chamber of Commerce. "We thank Dr. Bendapudi for sharing her vision for continued success on behalf of a university whose students are a major part of our region's workforce. We are excited about and focused on the critical role we play in providing connections to businesses, leadership development and talent."
