Savills Oxford wins at OxPropFest Awards 2021

The winners were announced at an awards ceremony which took place at the Oxfordshire Property Festival, held at Bicester Motion on Thursday 9 September.

Savills 13-strong planning team was named Best Planning Consultancy. Experienced in the delivery of mixed-use developments across Oxfordshire and beyond, the team currently act on the planning for development by clients with the potential for 37,000 dwellings, 425,000 square ft. of commercial space across 2,500 hectares of land.

Rebecca Bacon, a senior planner, in the team was highly commended in the Young Person of the Year category.

Robert Linnell, head of the Savills Oxford planning team said: 'I am proud of the resilience and strength our team has demonstrated in what has been a challenging year, during which we have had to adapt to change and, through our local expertise and national network, delivered a seamless service to our clients. It was great to be recognised for our success in what was a well-contested category.'

'I would also like to congratulate Rebecca, whose commendation is well-deserved. Rebecca is an amazing planner with an eye for the detail. She has achieved a huge amount in her career so far and is destined to be a real talent in the profession in the years to come.'

In addition, Savills was highly commended in the Best Property Agent category and its residential development sales team's clients were awarded the top prize in the Best Residential Development category for Springfield Meadows.

Springfield Meadows is a development of 25 new homes in Southmoor, Oxfordshire. The specialist team at Savills Oxford has supported Ssassy and Greencore to deliver the project, which is believed to be the most sustainable multiple unit residential development in the country.

Nicola Horner, head of the Savills Oxford residential development sales team, commented: 'Springfield Meadows is a hugely ambitious scheme in terms of its sustainability and affordable homes commitments. Its success to date is as a result of a comprehensive approach across all aspects of its delivery and we are delighted that it has received this accolade, which hopefully helps to raise its profile as a trailblazing project within the residential sector.'

Mosaics at Barton Park is another residential development Savills is involved in, on behalf of Hill, and was highly commended in the same category.

Richard Binning is head of Savills multi-disciplinary office on Botley Road, one of the firm's two offices in Oxford. He said:
