On-demand electric boats run from Merisatama to Uunisaari, regular ferries to Harakka

The Callboats service operates catamaran-type electric boats. The boats are available on demand on the route from Kompassitori Square in Kaivopuisto to Uunisaari Island. They also follow a timetable on the route from Ullanlinnanlaituri Pier to Harakka Island. The electric boats also take passengers from Uunisaari Island to Harakka Island.

This is now the third summer during which electric boat transport is being tested in the waters of Helsinki. In addition to Callboats (Oy Mente Marine Ab), the pilot project also involves the City of Helsinki and the electricity supplier Helen Ltd.

The pilot project on electric boats in Merisatama will bring Helsinki's water transport system towards electric operations. The use of zero-emission electric modes of transport supports the carbon neutrality targets Helsinki has set for 2030. The pilot also supports the goals of Helsinki's Maritime Strategy 2030. The Strategy aims to make the archipelago more accessible and develop services.

The Callboats app is available on the App Store and Google Play.

Passengers can pay for their trip via the app. You may also pay for the trip with a credit or debit card on the boat, in which case the price will include a small service charge.

On the app, a round trip for an adult costs €5.50, and €3.50 for passengers aged under 17 and pensioners. Children under 7 can ride the boat for free.

Tickets for the ferry route Ullanlinnanlaituri-Harakka can also be bought on the Callboats app. The scheduled services are offered on a ferry of the Merenkävijät association. The ferry will operate on the route Särkkä-Ullanlinnanlaituri-Harakka according to the timetable shown on the app.
