24.11.2021 (12:45)

Crews of Mi-8AMTSh-V Terminator transport and combat helicopters of the Central Military District worked out maneuvers in the air to evade ground-based air defences of a mock enemy in the Novosibirsk region.

The pilots performed paired takeoffs, flights as part of links, as well as flights along a given route at minimum intervals at an altitude of up to 150 m. In addition, they worked out the standards for the detection and recognition of various objects, mobile and stationary ground targets of a mock enemy, methods of attacking ground targets and withdrawal maneuvers when firing surface-to-air missiles.

More than 10 Mi-8AMTSh-V helicopters were involved in the training flights, as well as about 50 military personnel from among the flight, engineering and technical personnel of a separate helicopter regiment.
