United States Military Sealift Command Delegation visits Mumbai

A seven-member delegation from the United States Military Sealift Command and the USN, led by Mr. William Ed Hulick, visited Mumbai on 10 May 2022 to interact with Mazgaon Docks Limited MDL. The delegation also interacted with officers of WNC. The purpose of the visit was to explore avenues for US ships to avail repair and maintenance assistance in India when on extended deployment. The delegation was exposed to the cultural heritage and history of the region, along with Mumbai's rich tradition of shipbuilding. The delegation was given a cultural tour of Naval Heritage Museum at the Naval Dockyard and South Mumbai. The Military Sealift Command controls replenishment and military transport ships of the USN and is responsible for providing sealift and ocean transport to all US Military services and other government agencies.
