Amanda Adkins Would be a Disaster for Kansans’ Reproductive Freedom

Amanda Adkins just confirmed what we already knew: if she were elected to Congress, she'd work to roll back women's reproductive freedoms nationwide.

Adkins recently told Fox4 that she supports overturning Roe v. Wade and removing federal protections for abortion access. Adkins also said she "100 percent" will vote yes on Kansas' constitutional amendment that could pave the way for the state legislature to enact a radical ban on abortion without exceptions.

Reminder: As chair of the Kansas Republican Party, Adkins pushed for a plan to make abortion illegal, even in cases of rape and incest. She also backed plans to defund Planned Parenthood, which provides affordable health care, including birth control and cancer screenings, to tens of thousands of Kansans every year.

"Make no mistake: Amanda Adkins would be a reliable vote for Republicans in Congress to ban abortion and eliminate women's freedom to make their own health care decisions. Her extreme views on reproductive freedom are completely out of step with voters in the Kansas Third, and it will cost her at the ballot box this November."
