Geneva, October 4th, 2021. The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Hon Mawine G. Diggs addresses the Sixty-second assemblies of Member States at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, recommits Liberia to the global effort for the protection and promotion of Intellectual Property. Among other things, the Minister named the establishment of Liberia's first ever collection Management Organization that enables the implementation and distribution of royalties for right holders in all genres of copyright as a milestone achievement. She also pointed out that Liberia has developed its IP Development roadmap.

On the other hand, The Honorable Minister is expected to participate in a high-level "Launch Of Study" meeting with Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of WTO, Ms Pamela Coke-Hamilton, Executive Director of ITC and other Stakeholders at the WTO headquarters 1:30 pm (Geneva time) to discuss the state of play of Liberia's five year's achievement since its accession as a WTO member.
