At 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to reports of fire at a two-storey residential dwelling in the 300 block of Pacific Avenue.
Upon arrival to the scene, crews found smoke coming from the structure. They initially launched an exterior fire attack. Once conditions improved, and it was safe to do so, firefighters entered the dwelling to finish putting the fire out. It was declared under control at 5:27 p.m.
Residents self-evacuated safely before crews arrived. No injuries were reported.
The City's Emergency Social Services teamwas deployed to help displaced residents find temporary accommodations.
Damage estimates are not available. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
