Free period products are now available in all academic buildings on Main and Health Science Campus through an initiative by the UToledo Student Government and Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women to advance period equity initiatives on campus.

University of Toledo President Gregory Postel pledged $5,000 for period products during fall semester with the help of Dr. Sammy Spann, vice president of student affairs and dean of students.

Over winter break and early in spring semester, Danielle Lutman, associate director of the Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women, and Abbie Ragan, director of Period Equity in The University of Toledo Student Government, met with deans and representatives from each college.

"The Period Equity Project is essential to The University of Toledo because having period products around campus for all students gives students the security to know that their University is taking care of them and wants them to be successful," Ragan said.

Students can access the free products in at least one bathroom per academic building and at least one gender-neutral restroom per campus.

Students in need of additional products can visit Rocket Fuel - Student Food Pantries on Main Campus in Thompson Student Union Room 2514 or Health Science Campus in Health Education Building Room 112.

A full list of bathrooms can be found at the Period Equity initiatives website.
