Munich, Germany, 10 July 2019 - In October 2018, HolidayCheck Group AG set up its own tour operator, HC Touristik GmbH, which offers package holidays and hotel accommodation under the brand name HolidayCheck Reisen. The new company's management team recently welcomed their first package holiday customers at Leipzig airport as they headed off to their respective destinations.
HolidayCheck Reisen currently offers package holidays and hotel accommodation in Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria and Egypt. The company works with a number of industry partners: the accommodation databases OTS Globe and Hotelbeds, the airline SunExpress and the destination management company (DMC) MTS. HolidayCheck Reisen also uses Peakwork's 'dynamic packaging' solution. Further destinations and products will be added continuously over the coming months.
'We were very keen to meet and wave off our first package holidaymakers in person and offer them a travel voucher to thank them for putting their trust in us. It was a very special moment. In just a short time, we have managed to build up the infrastructure we need in order to provide a reliable tour operator service. I am very proud of our highly motivated team. I would also like to thank our partners for their help in making things run so smoothly,' says Vinzenz Greger, Managing Director of HC Touristik GmbH.
'This is the beginning of a long journey. Over time, now that we have set up our own tour operator, we can develop an even deeper understanding of the needs of our holidaymakers and offer an even better user experience and tailored products. We will also learn first-hand how we can improve our products for our partners in the tour operator market. With our own tour operator, we will also have more control over data quality and will be able to plug any gaps in the services we provide for our holidaymakers. At the end of the day, we want to become the most holidaymaker-friendly company in the world and offer our customers the best products available on the market at all times. We intend to focus on quality, product diversity and flexibility so that we can respond as effectively as possible to our holidaymakers' individual needs. At the same time, we want to stress that HolidayCheck will remain a fair platform for all our partners and that HolidayCheck Reisen will have to prove itself in a spirit of fair competition,' says Georg Hesse, CEO of HolidayCheck Group AG.
