PPQ 546 & 585 Applications Coming Soon to APHIS eFile!

Published: Feb 22, 2022

Dear Applicants,

Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) is excited to announce that on March 7, both the PPQ 585 Timber permit application and 546 Postentry Quarantine permit application are coming to APHIS eFile!

What to expect in the transition from ePermits to APHIS eFile:

  • Effective March 7, 2022, PPQ will no longer issue new or renewed Postentry Quarantine or Timber permits through ePermits. You will need to submit a new application using APHIS eFile.
  • All active Postentry Quarantine and Timber permits issued through ePermits will remain valid until permit expiration.

APHIS eFile is an online system that supports select APHIS regulatory activities, including permitting, registrations, and licenses. To see which services are available to you, visit https://efile.aphis.usda.gov/s/ today.
