Fragé announced this morning that relative to today's large water main break at Clinton and Mill Streets in Belleville-which is impacting service in the North, West, South and Central Wards-Newark Water and Sewer Utilities has identified and closed four of the water valves with two outstanding valves expected to be closed within the hour.

Residents are advised to boil water until further notice.

The City is in the process of going door-to-door to give out water and several local businesses have donated water including ShopRite, Goya, Seabra's, and Audible. Nearly 1,000 cases have been distributed thus far.
