Around Town
White Oak Creek Greenway Closure: NC55 to Green Level Church
Maintenance crews will be conducting asphalt repairs from Monday, August 22 to Friday, August 26 requiring closure of the trail while repairs are occuring.
Right Lane Closure: 2323 NW Maynard Rd.
Starting Monday, August 22, contractors will be working on behalf of the Town of Cary to start construction of new sidewalk at 2323 NW Maynard Road, filling the last gap on the route. This work is anticipated to take two weeks.
Fall Men's Open Basketball Team Registration Ending August 21
Team registration ending soon for the fall season, which runs from mid-September to November. Learn more.

KIDZ BOP LIVE 2022
Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 7 p.m.
Families can sing and dance along with the KIDZ BOP Kids - Egan, Layla, Dominic, and Camille - as they perform today's biggest hits live on stage, including "Good 4 U" and "Dance Monkey." KIDZ BOP LIVE 2022 will be the best KIDZ BOP show yet with tons of cool surprises, and the fan-favorite Daddy Dance Off, giving dads the chance to show off their best dance moves on stage to a mashup of Y2K hits. Park After Dark with La Fiesta
310 S. Academy Street, Downtown Cary | 7-9 p.m.
La Fiesta brings their Latin jazz to Downtown Cary for an exciting show. Baltic Bites food truck and Fresh Local Ice Cream will be on site to make sure no one goes hungry and Vicious Fishes will be pouring a variety of craft beers. Outside food and beverages are allowed. Outside alcohol is not allowed. A limited selection of free, low-level lawn chairs will be available. Personal lawn chairs are allowed.

Comedy Show with Bengt Washburn and Bryan Morton

Most people who know him would say Bengt Washburn is a logistically impaired ditz, but his comedy is described as intelligent, surprisingly universal considering the content matter and profoundly funny. Bryan Morton has been dabbling in comedy for 10 years, but the last three have seen him jump into performing comedy with both feet, quickly gaining the reputation as a must-see comedian on the rise. The most prolific kung fu director in Hong Kong martial arts cinema, Chang Cheh, ushered in a new phase of his career and a new generation of action stars with The Five Venoms. The setting is ancient China's School of Five Venoms, so named for its five types of kung-fu based on five venomous animals: centipede, scorpion, serpent, toad, and lizard. The school is notorious for the evil deeds of its disciples, leading to another classic battle between righteousness and depravity. Hosted by filmmaker Christopher Everett.
