The district will offer more than 40 free Summer Camp programs in July for students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade. Camps include fishing, rocking climbing, video game design, sports and much more. Registration will begin May 23 and close on June 3. Registration will be available at www.fresnounified.org. Spots are limited.

Speakers will include members of the Fresno Unified Board of Education, Superintendent Bob Nelson, as well as other district program leaders.

Most Summer Camps will run for a week. Summer Camps are in addition to Summer Academies, which will be held in June to support academic growth in literacy and math for elementary and middle school students and provide credit recovery and accelerated classes for high school students. The expanded offerings for Summer Camps in collaboration with community partners is made possible through funding from the California Department of Education Expanded Learning Opportunities Program.
