T-72B3 tanks were fired in the Moscow region in preparation for the all-Russian stage of the Tank Biathlon competition

In the Moscow region, at the Alabino training ground, the soldiers of the guards tank red banner army of the Western Military District, in preparation for the all-army stage of the Games-2021 Tank Biathlon competition, conducted live firing of T-72B3 tanks in adverse weather conditions.

The crews conducted a rapid fire from 125-mm tank guns at targets imitating the armored vehicles and manpower of the mock enemy at distances of 1800, 1700 and 1600 meters, and from a paired machine gun at distances of 800, 700 and 600 meters. The shooting was complicated by heavy snowfall and wind, the gunners had to make adjustments to take into account the stormy weather.

The commanders of the combat vehicles destroyed the aircraft of the mock enemy from large-caliber machine guns Kord at a distance of 800-1200 meters.

At the all-army stage of the Tank Biathlon competition, the Western Military District will be represented by the crew of the Taman motorized rifle division of the guards tank army.
