Media Advisory – 2023 Calgary Stampede Princess crowning ceremony

Calgary - On Friday, November 18, 2022, one outstanding and accomplished young woman will be crowned the 2023 Calgary Stampede Princess.

An exciting competition that began with nine contestants and consisting of horsemanship, public speaking and personal interviews, the final three candidates - Annie Coward, Brooklyn Wong, and Sarah Lambros - will have one last opportunity to showcase their talents and passion for western heritage through the final equestrian competition freestyle ride and impromptu speeches before one is crowned.

WHAT: 2023 Calgary Stampede Princess Competition and crowning ceremony

WHEN: Friday, November 18, 2022

6:30 p.m. - Competition begins

9 p.m. (Approximately) - 2023 Calgary Stampede Princess Crowning Ceremony

WHERE: TL Agriplex Okotoks - 17049 306 Avenue East - Okotoks

NOTE: Interviews and photo opportunities with the 2023 Calgary Stampede Princess will be available following the Crowning Ceremony.

The 2023 Calgary Stampede Royalty will consist of the First Nations Princess and Stampede Princess. Throughout their reign - which begins January 1, 2023 and ends December 31, 2023 - the duo will make hundreds of appearances as ambassadors of the Stampede, celebrating its western heritage and values locally and around the world. The First Nations Princess crowning will take place on Sunday, November 27. Details to follow later in a separate advisory.
