“Akhsikent” and “Yangi O’zbekiston” complexes to be built in Namangan

During his visit to Namangan region, Uzbekistan's President gave several instructions to responsible persons to study the history of the Akhsikent memorial complex in Turakurgan district and conduct extensive research on this territory.

Hokim of Namangan region Shavkat Abdurazzokov met with famous Turkish architects Sinan Turaman and Ali Ilgar and discussed projects related to the study of this historical monument and the construction of a new facility in Fergana valley, which promises to also become a tourist attraction.

Famous as the chief architect of famous objects in the countries of the Middle East, Asia and Europe, Sinan Turaman made a presentation about the "Akhsikent" complex, which will be built on the territory adjacent to the ancient fortress of the same name.

At the suggestion of the architect, the complex will include a hotel, library, museum, shopping center, market, restaurants and cafes, an amphitheater, and a parking lot.

The experienced architect also presented his proposals for the master plan of the "Yangi O'zbekiston" park, which is planned to be built in Namangan region. Work on these architectural plans will continue.
