MORUPISI ENGAGES PUBLIC OFFICERS IN GABORONE

MORUPISI ENGAGES PUBLIC OFFICERS IN GABORONE- Government and Public Sector Unions continue to engage , to ensure that bargaining council gets operational. Addressing Public Officers based in Gaborone this morning, Permanent Secretary to the President Carter Morupisi said it was expected that the discussions will be completed by September however there has been a delay . Morupisi said President Mokgweetsi Masisi s desire is to have bargaining council advise him on how to deal with the welfare issues which public officers continue to grapple with.

Addressing Public Officers based in Gaborone this morning, Permanent Secretary to the President Carter Morupisi said it was expected that the discussions will be completed by September however there has been a delay . Morupisi said President Mokgweetsi Masisi s desire is to have bargaining council advise him on how to dealwith the welfare issues which public officers continue to grapple with.

On other issues Morupisi encouraged public officers to facilitate those at districts levels, to be able to serve their communities without hurdles attributed to those in Gaborone. He said government will continue to decentralize decision making to speedy service delivery at the districts levels. Morupisi further called on public officers to be exemplary as Gaborone is gate way for the international community that visits Botswana.
