City Of Las Vegas July 4 Celebrations

Community Celebration With Fireworks, Plus Pool Parties!

The city of Las Vegas invites the community to enjoy the Independence Day holiday Monday, July 4, at a free celebration at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs. The celebration begins at 6 p.m. and includes a free American flag to the first 500 people to arrive. Free LED necklaces for the kids will be distributed at the main stage in section 2 while supplies last. Enjoy music, vendors and activities throughout the event, which ends with a fireworks spectacular at dark.

Free entry to the park, located 9200 Tule Springs Road, starts at 8 a.m. and continues all day. Bring low-back chairs and blankets to be more comfortable watching the fireworks. Refreshments will be available for purchase at several food trucks. The event is sponsored by the city of Las Vegas, Ward 6, the Laborers International Union 872, SilverSummit Healthplan and many other community organizations. Event restrictions include no ice chests, no smoking, no backpacks and no pets; capped bottled water is fine. For more information, call 702-229-2570.

The city of Las Vegas also offers plenty of pool fun July 4 with water games and activities at four community pools. The cost is $2 for ages 4-17 and 50+, $3 for adults ages 18-49, and free for ages 3 and younger when accompanied by an adult. Times vary by pool location. Swimsuits are required.
