Taiwan's export value in December 2021 was US$40.72 billion, an increase of 23.4% compared to December last year. The cumulative export value from January to December 2021 was US$446.45 billion, an annual growth rate of 29.4%.
In December 2021, the export value of electronic products was US$16.26 billion (39.9% of the total). It was the principal commodity export. Compared to the same month last year, mineral products, base metals and articles of base metaloducts and chemicals grew by 164.6%, 67.7% and 39.6%, respectively.
In December 2021, exports to Mainland China & Hong Kong, ASEAN, Japan, the U.S.A. and Europe grew by 16.2%, 23.8%, 35.8%, 29.0% and 22.1%, respectively compared to the same month of last year.
