Beverly Hills to Hold Installation Ceremony March 20

Beverly Hills, CA - On March 20, 2018, the City of Beverly Hills will hold an installation ceremony to swear in a new mayor and vice mayor. Vice Mayor Julian A. Gold, MD is scheduled to be installed as mayor and Councilmember John Mirisch is scheduled to be installed as vice mayor. The incoming mayor and vice mayor will be formally elected by the presiding City Council for one-year terms at the start of March 20 meeting.

The installation ceremony is free and open to the public and will be held at 7 p.m. at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, 8949 Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills. The City bears no cost for using the Academy facilities. Free parking is available in nearby structures; please see the map below.

The mayor and vice mayor positions are elected each year by the City Council; the vice mayor traditionally becomes the mayor. Councilmembers are elected at-large to four-year terms.

9025 Wilshire / Wetherly garage opens at 6:30 PM

9100 Wilshire / Doheny garage opens at 6:00 PM (shuttle services will be provided)

Please note the strictly-enforced residential parking permit requirements on the side streets.

City ordinance prohibits parking in the alleys.
