Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam receives Svenska Dagbladet's honorary award, SvD Affärsbragd 2022: ‘An achievement in the truest sense'

Truecaller's Co-founders Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam, today received SvD Affärsbragd, the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet's honorary award. It was presented by Prince Daniel in connection with the event "The Swedish Championship for Young Entrepreneurs" in Gothenburg.

The jury's conclusion: "Where others see limits, they see new opportunities. Where others are overcome by obstacles, they find the energy to grow. With a clear vision - and a strong belief in the innovative capabilities of every employee - they have created a major international company that makes life a little more secure and the world a little more open for hundreds of millions of people, every day. An achievement in the truest sense."

SvD Affärsbragd is awarded annually to one or more business owners/entrepreneurs for exceptional achievements in Swedish business. Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam were nominated back in 2015 and with this year's award join previous winners Ida Backlund, Martin Lorentzon, Daniel Ek, Pär Svärdson and most recently Sebastian Siemiatkowski.

The jury was looking for a prize winner with extraordinary business achievements, with a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship. In 2021, Truecaller's sales increased by 130 percent to SEK 1.1 billion with an operating profit of SEK 258 million, and was listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. Globally, the app was one of the twenty most downloaded in the first quarter of 2022, with around 80 percent of its 310 million active monthly users using Truecaller daily.

Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam were given the award by Sweden's Prince Daniel today in connection with the "Swedish Championships for Young Entrepreneurs", which was held this year in Gothenburg.
