SUPPORT COVID-19 HANDLING, KALBE CARES FOR HCP

Jakarta, July 26, 2021. PT Kalbe Farma Tbk ('Kalbe). The government is doing every method available to manage the sharp increase of COVID-19 cases, from upstream to downstream. Upstream, the Government is implementing the PPKM policy to reduce the spread of the virus and expedite vaccinations. Downstream, the Government is focusing on increasing healthcare services, specifically by adding the number of beds and isolation chambers, adding necessary medications, equipment such as PPE, including adding healthcare providers. Kalbe, therefore, continues to support the government's efforts in handling COVID-19, one of which is by presenting aids of medications, vitamins, PPE, and nutrition for healthcare providers at the government's COVID-19 referral hospitals.

'The government's efforts to handle COVID-19 requires support from every sector including the industrial sector. We need to collaborate in handling the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia,' said Hari Nugroho, Head External Communication of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. 'Healthcare providers have an important role in handling COVID-19, and therefore Kalbe cares and provides support for the healthcare providers in numerous hospitals and other healthcare services, in order for the healthcare providers to remain encouraged and healthy in facing COVID-19,' he continued.

As a form of care, through July 2021 Kalbe has presented aid in the forms of vitamin supplements, hand sanitizers, masks, as well as milk and food for healthcare providers in 12 COVID-19 referral hospitals in Jabotabek, among which are: RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo (RSCM), RSUP Persahabatan, RSPI Sulianti Saroso, RSPAD, RSUP Fatmawati, RSUD Bekasi, RS Tzu Chi, RSUD Pasar Rebo, RSUD Tarakan, RSDC Wisma Atlet, RSUD Cengkareng and RSDC Wisma Haji Pondok Gede; also for 5 other hospitals outside of Jabotabek, i.e. RSUP dr. Kariadi Semarang, RSUP dr. Sardjito Jogjakarta, RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya, RSUD Moewardi Surakarta and RSUD dr. Loekmono Hadi Kudus. The Kalbe Cares HCP Program is planned to be continued to other 61 Government-owned COVID-19 referral hospitals in Jabotabek and beyond Jabotabek, including hospitals outside of Java.

Moreover on Wednesday, July 21, Kalbe presented the aid for the government of Surabaya city, at the time accepted directly by the Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, in the form of vitamins, hand sanitizers, and child-specific vitamin packages.

Prior to it Kalbe has also collaborated with the East Jakarta Health Office to organize Stage 1 and 2 public COVID-19 vaccination centers. Located at SD St. Fransiskus III, Kayu Putih, East Jakarta, Kalbe has completed stages 1 and 2 of vaccinations with a total of 4,800 dosages of vaccines.

Not stopping at donations, Kalbe through KlikDokter is also providing telemedicine and self-quarantine services for COVID-19 patients without symptoms or with mild symptoms. The program is a part of Kalbe's collaboration with the Ministry of Health through telemedicine services.

As previously known that in the year 2020 Kalbe has been supporting the government in COVID-19 handling by providing donations of medications, vitamins, PPE, for 432 hospitals in 30 provinces of Indonesia, including the donation of RT PCR test kits with the total value of Rp. 52 billion.
