Don Bacon Votes Against Stopping Domestic Terrorism

Following the racially-motivated mass shooting in Buffalo, New York this week, the House passed the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act to help prevent further acts of domestic terrorism.

The legislation will set up offices specifically focused on tracking and analyzing domestic terrorist activity at the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the FBI with the goal of preventing devastating attacks, rather than just reacting after the fact.

Following his party bosses' lead, Don Bacon turned his back on Nebraskans and opposed legislation to prevent mass shootings and domestic terrorist attacks.

DCCC Spokesperson Johanna Warshaw:

"Rather than work to protect Nebraskans, Don Bacon followed his GOP party bosses in an indefensible vote to block efforts that would prevent mass shootings and acts of domestic terrorism."
