Kuwait Fund hosts visiting Pakistani military delegation

Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) hosted at its headquarters on Thursday a visiting military delegation from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan representing National Defense University (NDU).

The event is part of continued cooperation among local authorities and institutions, KFAED said in a statement, adding it also aimed at introducing the Pakistani delegation to the nature of the Fund's work during their educational tour to Kuwait.

During the visit, Mr. Yousef Al-Bader, Superintendent of Operations Department for Southeast Asian and Pacific Countries at KFAED, gave an introductory presentation on the Fund's activities, highlighting its accomplishments since its foundation, in addition to the nature of its work and operations that mirrored Kuwait's foreign policy, which is based on development and humanitarian aid on regional and international levels.

For his part, Dr. Naser Al-Rifai, Economic Advisor at KFAED, delivered an explanatory speech about the Fund's work policies in financing development projects in developing nations, in addition to the procedures followed when submitting a loan application by the Fund-recipient countries.

Meanwhile, Brigadier-General Aamer Shehzad, head of the Pakistani delegation, expressed his pleasure of such a visit, noting it was intended to explore the State of Kuwait's development potentials through understanding the nature of the Fund's work, development activities, and extended humanitarian action all around the world.

Furthermore, Brigadier-General Mohammad Aasem expressed his appreciation to the role played by the State of Kuwait, through Kuwait Fund, as the main arm of the country's foreign policy in aiding developing countries around the world without discrimination, as well as its support of enhancing the economies of those nations, particularly in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
