On 25 April 2024, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the celebration of Koningsdag (King's Day) at the Residence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netehrlands.

Vice Minister conveyed his good wishes to His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands. He mentioned Thailand's commitment to elevate Thailand-Netherlands cooperation, including trade, investment, cultural affairs, and people-to-people relations. He also highlighted Thailand's readiness to promote global peace-building.

This event was held to celebrate the special occasion of the birthday of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and to mark the 420th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Netherlands, since King Sanphet III or King Ekathotsarot granted royal permission for the Dutch East India Company (VOC) to establish their trading post in Ayutthaya in 1604.
