Mikhailovskaya Military Artillery Academy team is to represent Russia at Masters of Artillery Fire international stage

The team of the Mikhailov Military Artillery Academy has won the all-army stage of the Masters of Artillery Fire that involved 2S12A mortar system crews and will represent Russia at the international contest of the International Army Games 2022.

The three stages of the contest (Individual Race, Night Sprint and Race of Platoons) have been won by the team of the Mikhailov Military Artillery Academy. The second position has been taken by the servicemen from the Central Military District.

Contestants competed in the precision of performing fire tasks using Sani 2S12A mortar systems, eliminating targets with PKT machine guns, shooting with RPG-7V grenade launchers and AK-74 assault rifles. Drivers of the mortar crews have shown their mastery in passing various obstacles like passage track in a mine barrier, slope and manoeuvre area marked by Ural-43206 transport vehicle.

The international stage of the Masters of Artillery Fire contest will take place in August at Gvardeisky training ground located in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
