ROWLAND WATER EXCEEDS SAFETY STANDARDS IN LATEST WATER QUALITY REPORT

Current samples show region's supply to be dependable; Safe for consumption in midst of COVID-19 pandemic

June 29, 2020- On July 1, 2020 Rowland Water District will release its 2019 Consumer Confidence Report, which details water quality testing results throughout 2019. All public water systems in California regularly test for bacteria and other substances, and report their findings to state regulators and to customers through this annual compliance document. Results of this most recent report indicate that the District's drinking water not only meets but exceeds state and federal health and safety standards.

'Rowland Water is once again pleased to share the results of our water quality testing with our customers', says Tom Coleman, Rowland Water District General Manager. 'Now more than ever, we know residents are thinking about the safety of their drinking water. Rest assured, our water quality and supply remain unaffected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and strict state regulations will continue to ensure that we are able to provide customers with safe, clean drinking water.'
Each year, the District tests nearly 1,000 water samples for regulated and unregulated contaminants and impurities and results consistently show that the samples not only meet, but exceed federal and state standards for drinking water quality. The District serves close to 58,000 customers per day, and all drinking water meets requirements set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and by the State Water Resources Control Board. All of the water sourced by the District is treated before it enters the system.

In addition to the detailed water quality information, the Consumer Confidence Report details the District's sources of water and treatment process. Rowland Water's report also contains useful information on how you can save water inside and outside your home.
