SeaWorld Continues to Rescue and Rehabilitate Hundreds of Sea Lions

Just two and a half months into this year and SeaWorld San Diego has rescued 475 marine mammals, and counting, breaking the park's long-standing record made in 1983!

Original Post: 3/8/2015There is a crisis occurring on the west coast of the United States. Hundreds of sea lion pups have been found malnourished, dehydrated and otherwise ill all along the coast. Since January 1, 2015, SeaWorld has helped rescue over 400 stranded sea lions and our Animal Rescue Team continues to work to give these animals a second chance at life.
To help as many as possible, SeaWorld rel="noopener noreferrer" San Diego suspended their sea lion showso those trainers can join rescuers in the field. Conservationist Jack Hanna visited the park on Saturday and saw our sea lion rescue efforts firsthand:
