Uzbekistan - Israel inter-MFA political consultations

Tashkent hosted the 7th round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Israel.

The delegations of the parties were led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov and Deputy Director General, Head of Eurasia and the Western Balkans Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel Gary Koren.

The parties exchanged views on the current issues of the Uzbekistan - Israel agenda, as well as interaction on international platforms.

The sides discussed the schedule of the upcoming events, including the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and the next round of consultations on the inventory of the legal framework.

The parties stated the importance of deepening the inter-parliamentary dialogue, which has a special place on the bilateral agenda.

Certain issues of the regional and international agenda were considered.

The parties confirmed their readiness to progressively develop bilateral ties in a mutually beneficial and pragmatic manner.

Mutual interest was expressed in continuing inter-MFA consultations regularly.

Following the meeting, a Protocol on cooperation and bilateral consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Israel was signed.
