Laredo Sector Border Patrol Rescues and Aids Lost Individual

LAREDO, Texas- Laredo Sector Border Patrol Search Trauma and Rescue (BORSTAR) and Freer Station agents rescued and provided aid to a lost individual southwest of Freer, Texas.

The rescue occurred during the afternoon of July 21, when agents responded to a report of a lost individual in the brush. The individual called 911 and reported that he had no food or water and could not feel his feet. Agents were able to locate the individual and proceeded to render first aid. After the individual responded favorably to medical aid, he was found to be a Mexican national in the country illegally.

The Laredo Sector Border Patrol cannot stress enough the dangers and risks that undocumented individuals place themselves in when commencing their illegal journey into the United States. They subject themselves to human smugglers who guide them through remote areas during the high temperatures of summer and will abandon them at the first sign of danger. Laredo Sector agents will continue to render aid to those exploited and abandoned by human smugglers.

Take a stand against these criminal organizations and other potentially dangerous acts by reporting suspicious activity.
